Chiara del Prete - Chair at EFRAG's Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group


Chiara has been Chair of EFRAG's Sustainability Reporting TEG since February 2023, although she was already serving this role since May 2022 as Acting Chair. Her role is to lead and manage all EFRAG's sustainability reporting technical activities.

David Howe - Founder at Jordisk

David is a sustainability leader with over 20 years of global business experience. Besides running Jordisk, a firm which advises companies on integrating sustainability into their operations, he is a Non-Executive Director for NHS 24 and a Trustee of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society. Before founding Jordisk, he led several sectors of Microsoft's business, and also held roles at Compaq, UBS Investment Bank and the British Royal Engineers.

Pascal Lagarde - Executive Director at bpifrance


At bpifrance, Pascal is in charge of International Affairs, Strategy, ESG and Research. Marie Briguglio - Associate Professor at the University of Malta


Marie Briguglio is a resident academic at the University of Malta (UM) lecturing mainly in Behavioural Economics and Environmental Economics, and expert on themes of economics of wellbeing, environmental cooperation, political preferences, cultural participation and market failure. She is also the principal investigator of the Malta well-being INDEX project.

Andrey Chicherin - Innovation, Technology & Co-funding at the Green Climate Fund

Andrei Chicherin has been working for over 20 years as an investment, finance, and sustainable development professional with regional authorities, private companies, and international organizations in countries from Eastern Europe Asia, and Africa. He has extensive investment banking and financial advisory experience gained at investment banks, Big4, financial advisory firms, and several years of legal practice with the Moscow office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. As Manager of the Private Sector Facility, he led Innovation and Energy Transition teams at the Green Climate Fund. Andrei obtained an MBA from Columbia Business School and a law degree (with Honors) from Moscow State University.

Matthew Swain - Head of Sustainability at APS Bank plc


Matthew Swain is Head of Sustainability at APS Bank plc. Prior to this, Matthew spent over a decade in London working with a major global bank. He specialised in renewable energy lending for corporates, eventually managing and implementing global sustainability risk policies. He is experienced at assessing ESG impacts of large scale financing projects as well as developing climate strategies for the banking sector. In his time at APS he has lead the development of an ESG Strategy Framework and setting up the banks Medium term ESG commitments. He is now working to implement a wider Sustainability strategy ensuring alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as overall responsibility for Emissions Accounting and ESG reporting.

Dr Luke Hili - Associate at Ganado Advocates

Luke works within Ganado's insurance and capital markets practices, assisting clients wishing to raise finance on the capital markets, and advising them on how best to meet their obligations. Martins is a Deputy Head at the Representation of the European Commission in Latvia, currently serving at a semester in the EU Commission's Malta office. His main areas of interest is economic policy analysis, driving reforms and improving the investment environment. He has experience working with both quantitative and qualitative analysis, research, organisation and policy management.

Dr Marthese Portelli - CEO at the Malta Chamber


Marthese joined the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry as Chief Executive Officer in June 2021.

A graduate in law, she has a wealth of experience in policy formulation and negotiation. She occupied senior roles in the corporate world for 13 years in the technology sector, before her seven-year stint as a Member of Parliament, during which she shadowed several challenging portfolios including EU affairs, energy, environment, transport, infrastructure, capital projects, planning and property. Following her departure from politics, she was appointed Director General of the Malta Developers Association, while working as a management consultant in her professional capacity.

Lorraine Vella - Head Capital Markets Supervision at the Malta Financial Services Authority

Lorraine, a certified public accountant, joined the MFSA in 2000 and has worked in a number of areas within the organisation, gaining extensive knowledge in regulation, supervision and enforcement in the financial markets sphere. Having more than 15 years of experience in capital markets, throughout her career she was also directly involved in the transposition and implementation of various EU legislation.
Lorraine has represented the MFSA within various Committees of the European Supervisory Authorities and is currently actively involved in European Network Groups related to supervision in financial services. She is also an alternate member on the Board of Supervisors of the European Securities and Markets Authority.

Graziella Grech - COO at Finance Malta

Graziella has a wealth of experience in the financial services industry, having worked at HSBC for more than 25 years holding various roles, including Branch Manager, back-office operations lead, project manager responsible for simplifying the bank's processes and other sensitive responsibilities. She is a Henley MBA graduate and was awarded the CertFinTech by ACCA. Hadrian J Sammut - Chief Officer responsible for Business Advisory and Information Systems projects at iMovo

Hadrian specialises in Customer Experience Management and in Business Intelligence and Analytics.  He has wide experience in the strategic analysis, planning and management of corporate information applications.
